The Elk Mountain Project

A 23-acre property came up for sale that would improve public access to over 13,000 acres of BLM and State land. The property was a challenge because the appraised value was much lower than the owner’s asking price. A keen community member reached out to agencies and organizations that he hoped could help secure the property. Eric jumped at the opportunity to help. He purchased the land, conveyed it to RMEF, and RMEF began working with the community, officials, and other stakeholders to properly open the site to the public.
